I was first inspired to create these weekly schedule templates when my sister called me and told me she was “all over the place with the homeschooling.” I asked if she had something written out, “You know, like a plan?” It never dawned on me that she probably would not have “lesson plans” written out for my kindergarten niece during a global pandemic. She’s not a teacher.
Of course, as teachers, we are master planners. We have to be! I mean let’s be honest sometimes we wing it, but 98% of the time we know exactly what we are doing and when we are doing it. Honestly, the teaching profession has made me much more of a planner and MUCH more organized. Seriously. I wasn’t like this before. My room was ALWAYS messy, even through college, and I was SO much more ‘go with the flow than I am now. It wasn’t until my career began that I started thriving on planning and organization.
An organized teacher & classroom equals a well-managed space and thriving students. I’m a paper & pencil planner, but with everything going digital, I knew I needed something that could easily be uploaded or used in Google Slides AND I knew I needed something I could share with my sister so her day felt a little bit more structured and manageable.
Insert… FREEBIE!
I created these FREE weekly schedule templates for my sister, myself and any teacher out there who might need them. The templates are available in Google Slides and PDF formats, so that you can use them to keep your students and yourself organized.
Can Parents Use These Too?!
Yes! Parents, these are for you too. Do you have to do 8 subjects a day? No… choose a few and call it a day. Will you circle things you didn’t get to and put an arrow pointing to the next day? Yes. Welcome to the teaching profession. Be flexible and have ALL the grace on yourself and your kids. Get the templates here.
Need More to Get Through This Quarantine?
Same. Same. You’ll find some inspiration in the products I’ve created below because, keepin’ it real, teaching is ALWAYS hard.
Hopefully, this post brought a little laughter and a little organization into your life. Let me know if you can relate in the comments below!
